Turning a Retail Promotion Into a Nationwide Digital Experience
A retail promotion can create attention. A connected digital campaign can help turn that attention into participation.
For Woermann Brock, KanMedia supported the Jamie Oliver Cook Up a Storm promotion through a digitally amplified campaign designed to build awareness, drive traffic and encourage participation.
The campaign connected a physical retail promotion with digital media and online engagement, helping bring the offer to audiences across Namibia.

The Challenge
Woermann Brock had a strong retail promotion:
Customers purchasing specially marked products could collect tokens and redeem 1,000 tokens for a Jamie Oliver Tefal cooking set.
Only 500 cooking sets were available.
The opportunity was to take that in-store mechanic and turn it into something much bigger.
The challenge was to create national awareness, generate digital engagement and drive consumers toward the campaign website — while creating enough urgency for people to participate before the limited rewards were gone.
The Insight
The promotion already had a powerful behavioural mechanism:
Collect. Accumulate. Participate. Win.
The limited number of prizes added another powerful element:
Scarcity.
KanMedia built the digital strategy around these two forces.
Rather than treating the promotion as a conventional retail advertisement, we turned the offer into a digital participation story.
The Strategy
The campaign connected Woermann Brock’s physical retail environment with a nationwide digital media system.
Google Display Network was used to extend campaign reach, supported by strategic placements across high-traffic platforms including The Namibian and News24.
Creative was adapted for different devices and digital environments, allowing the campaign to reach audiences wherever they were consuming content.
The objective was not simply to generate impressions.
It was to move people from:
Awareness → Interest → Website Visit → Participation.
Execution
The campaign used digital media to continuously reinforce the core proposition:
Collect 1,000 tokens and stand a chance to receive a Jamie Oliver Tefal cooking set.
With only 500 sets available, the campaign naturally created urgency.
Digital placements generated awareness and directed consumers to the campaign experience, while the promotion mechanics gave audiences a clear reason to act.
KanMedia continuously optimized the campaign across devices and placements to improve the quality of traffic and engagement.

Scarcity drove participation
With only 500 Jamie Oliver cooking sets available, the combination of visibility and limited availability created urgency, with customers racing to secure their rewards.
The campaign demonstrated the power of connecting a tangible retail incentive with a strategically designed digital media system.
The Bigger Lesson
The strongest retail campaigns do more than tell people about an offer.
They give people a reason to act.
For Woermann Brock, the combination of:
A compelling reward + a simple participation mechanic + scarcity + targeted digital media
created a campaign that could move consumers from awareness to action.
That is where KanMedia sees the difference between simply placing media and building an engagement system.
Campaigns create moments.
Systems create participation.
KanMedia — Creative. Strategic. Media.
